How will bankruptcy affect your credit?

Your bankruptcy will be reported on your credit report for 10 years from the date you file for bankruptcy. Your credit should improve within a year after bankruptcy because your income debt ratio will improve. You will no longer be responsible for all those liabilities that were discharged in bankruptcy.
